I’m pleased to share that Heeding The President has been published by The Guardian as part of their feature on the LensCulture Portrait Awards 2026.
The photograph was selected as the Jury’s Pick in this year’s competition.
For me, one of the most rewarding things about photography is seeing an image continue its journey after it leaves the moment in which it was created. A photograph can take on a different meaning depending on where it is seen, who encounters it, and what they bring to it.
I’m grateful to the editors at The Guardian for giving this work another life and for including it in the publication.

I’m honoured to have received the Saleh Al Ustad Legacy Award at the 10th anniversary edition of the Xposure International Photography Festival in the UAE, recognising me as the festival’s Best Creative Photographer.
The award was presented during the closing gala by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah.
It was a very special moment for me and a wonderful recognition of the work I’ve been creating over the years. I’m grateful to the festival and everyone involved for giving my work the opportunity to be seen by such a wide audience.

At Xposure 2026 in the UAE, I had the opportunity to present my series Russia At Dusk in a stage talk.
I spoke about how the project began, how it developed over several years, and how the photographs were created. But most importantly, I wanted to talk about the people behind the images — their lives, stories and circumstances.
I also shared behind-the-scenes photographs and material from the shoots, giving the audience a glimpse into how the project was built.
It was a pleasure to see how much interest the series generated, especially from people discovering the work for the first time.

Today, Russia At Dusk opened as part of the Xposure International Photography Festival in Sharjah, UAE. The exhibition brings together several dozen photographs from the series, selected by the festival’s curators.
The project looks at everyday life in the Russian hinterland — small provincial towns and villages, the people who live there, and the quiet, distinctive character of these places.
For me, the series is not about presenting a particular image of Russia, but about observing its people and the environment they have shaped around themselves. There is something deeply personal and authentic in these stories, while at the same time they reveal a side of the country rarely seen outside its borders.
I’m grateful to the curators of Xposure for their interest in the project and for giving Russia At Dusk the opportunity to be seen by an international audience.

I’m very happy to share that The Window to Lost Dreams has been named Photographer of the Year by Arts to Hearts.
I made this photograph in the kitchen of my neighbour’s house in the village where my parents have their summer home. He lives nearby, and over the years I came to know something of his story.
He lost all of his immediate family — first his mother, then his father, sister and brother. He never married, and gradually his home and farm fell into neglect. Yet despite everything he had been through, he remained a kind and gentle person.
This photograph was made in his kitchen, in the place where he lives. For me, the award is especially meaningful because it brought attention to a very ordinary person and a quiet story that might otherwise have remained unseen.

The Gateway #2, Saving Grace has been awarded a Silver Medal at the WPE Awards.
I’m always glad when a photograph finds its way into the attention of an international jury. For me, recognition like this is not only about the award itself, but about knowing that the idea, atmosphere and story behind the image were understood and felt by others.
Grateful to the WPE jury for seeing something in this work and giving it this recognition.

I’m pleased to share a new interview with the French gallery Art Majeur, where I talk about my photography and the ideas behind my work.
We spoke about several ongoing projects, including Russia At Dusk, and about the process of creating the images — from the stories and people that inspire me to the way I construct each photograph.
I always enjoy these conversations because they give me an opportunity to look at my own work from a different perspective and to share some of the thoughts that remain behind the images.
Grateful to Art Majeur for the invitation and for taking the time to explore the work beyond the photographs themselves.

I’m happy to share that The Window to Lost Dreams has been selected as a finalist at the Sarajevo Photography Festival.
The work will be presented as part of the festival exhibition, which is a wonderful opportunity to see the photograph in a new setting and share its story with a wider audience.
I’m grateful to the jury and curators for selecting the work and for giving it a place in this year’s festival.

I’m very pleased to share that a selection of my works will be presented at 333 Art Gallery in Bangkok, as part of a month-long exhibition at Warehouse in the Riverside area.
I’m especially happy to see my work being shown here in Bangkok, the city where I am now based. For me, photography is not only about creating images, but also about sharing stories, ideas and different perspectives through them.
I’m grateful to the curators for selecting my work for this exhibition and for giving it the opportunity to meet a Thai audience. I hope the photographs will spark curiosity, invite conversation and perhaps offer viewers a glimpse into worlds and stories they may not have encountered before.
It is always rewarding to see photography become part of the cultural dialogue of the place you call home.

Today, several works from my series Russia At Dusk are being presented at the LoosenArt exhibition in Rome, including The Window to Lost Dreams and Heeding The President.
I’m always interested in seeing this project travel beyond Russia and encounter audiences in completely different cultural environments. The series is rooted in a very particular place and way of life, yet I believe its stories can speak to people far beyond that original context.
I’m grateful to LoosenArt for selecting these works and giving them the opportunity to be seen by audiences in Rome. It’s a pleasure to see Russia At Dusk continue its journey and find new viewers along the way.

I’m very happy to see my work on the cover of Art Majeur’s magazine, accompanying an interview about me and my photography.
The conversation gave me an opportunity to talk about my work, the ideas behind my images, and the stories that continue to shape my photographic journey.
It is especially meaningful to see a French art platform take such an interest in my work and share it with its audience of artists, collectors and art lovers. I’m grateful to the Art Majeur team for the invitation, the thoughtful conversation, and for choosing my photograph for the cover.
It’s always a pleasure when the work finds a warm response beyond the place where it was created.

I’m very happy to share that The Gateway #1. Into the Unknown received 1st Place in the Peace Through My Eyes category of the ONESHOT: PEACE Special Competition.
The competition brought together photographers from around the world, each offering their own interpretation of what peace means to them. I’m especially pleased that this particular image became part of that conversation.
Grateful to the jury for selecting the work and for giving it the opportunity to be included in the special-edition e-book alongside the other category winners and finalists.

I’m very happy to have had several of my works presented at Imagenation Paris, a major international photography exhibition held at Galerie Joseph Le Palais in Paris.
Seeing a selection of my photographs exhibited together in Paris was a truly special experience. For me, it is always meaningful when work created in one place travels far beyond its original context and finds its place among an international community of photographers and art lovers.
I’m grateful to the Imagenation team for selecting my work and giving me the opportunity to be part of this exhibition. Having several photographs presented in Paris feels like a wonderful recognition of the journey these images have taken — and of the people who continue to discover and connect with them.

For Spice House, a Thai restaurant chain, we created a campaign built around a simple visual illusion — and a very special dinner.
Inside the cargo hold of a delivery truck, we staged an intimate dinner for two: wine, dessert, and a couple at the table. He is quietly hiding an engagement ring under the table, preparing to propose. She is enjoying her cake, completely unaware of what is about to happen.
The resulting photograph was printed and applied to the exterior sides of Spice House delivery trucks, creating the illusion that the truck was carrying a couple having dinner inside.
The campaign was built around the tagline:
“Spice House. The proposal you won’t be able to resist.”
